where are there pedicabs in the bay area outside of oakland?
In the future, you will be able to find pedicabs in just about any halfway dense urban core, along with private jitney services.
Here's a list of all bay area pedicabs to the best of my knowledge.
- San Francisco: San Francisco Pedicabs: along the Embarcadero, mostly for tourists; seems to get plenty of play. SF is super walkable. The longest-lived pedicab service in the Bay Area. Owner: Keith Saggers
- San Francisco: Golden Gate Pedicab (web), Golden Gate Pedicab (facebook) Established 2010 by Justin Bruce/Boston Pedicab.
- San Francisco: Mission Pedicab. (No name) Runs unofficially at night in the Mission! Check 'em out. (2010)
- Walnut Creek: Let's Roll Pedicabs, 877.ROLL4YOU; looks fun. Owner: Rob Vanoncini (BA, PoliSci, 89)
- San Jose: Eco City Cycles, 408.771.7723/7046; looks fun if you're in San Ho :)
- Alameda: Alameda Pedicab (2010)
- Oakland: Oakstercab (Uptown) - haven't ridden it yet
- Oakland: RadioGuy (Uptown) - broken rear axle, waiting for the comeback! (6/1/10: saw him out last week, so removed 'inactive' status. Hooray! Speakers and everything.) Bright red pedicab with white racing stripes.
- Oakland: Backseat Driver (Uptown) - that's us! Owner: Ken Ott (BA, PoliSci, 01)
